About My Clients
I am passionate about helping children and adults see how healing their inner critic, people-pleasing, and perfectionism can lead to a more joyful, healthier, and meaningful life. Each day, I am incredibly blessed to witness my clients' transformative journey toward self-respect, liberation, and hope. I feel thrilled when my clients finally connect and listen to their compassionate voices, decide to prioritize their well-being, let go of others' expectations, and become authentic and grounded.
My Background and Approach
I have + 15 years of clinical experience, including working with children in the community/school-based services, teaching as an adjunct professor, working as a supervisor, and private practice. I love to enter children's inner world with curiosity instead of labeling. I utilize strength-based interventions and attachment-based play therapy to promote emotional intelligence and connection. I also support parents in learning how to reflect on their triggers and reactivity. Through solid child therapy training, I naturally recognize inner children in adults when I work with grown-ups. Feeling anxious often originates from childhood experiences that made us feel unsafe and powerless. I can support you in healing your inner child and cultivating courage and compassion in your life. I believe you will be able to stop focusing on problems, sit with yourself and others in difficult moments, and start trusting your ability to cope.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Investing in your life through therapy may feel uncomfortable and scary. I appreciate your courage to be here today. We all struggle with what life brings to our paths right now. Instead of being supportive of ourselves, we tend to be harsh and critical toward ourselves during difficult times. As a therapist myself, I was the worst critic of myself for decades. I've thought the critical voices would motivate me to achieve more and protect me from judgment and shame. I've believed I will be safe and loved if I do everything perfectly. By discovering compassion toward myself, I began to accept myself for who I am and support myself in vulnerable moments. Through our work together, I hope you begin to feel enough and become your best ally. I am here to help you connect with your inner wisdom and listen to your compassionate voice in your day-to-day life.
