About My Clients

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, and life transitions, including the move into high school, college, and young adulthood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I offer individual, family, and parent-child therapy and tailor my work to meet each client’s unique needs.

My Background and Approach

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Truman State University and Masters of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I have experience with youth in foster and adoptive care, family reunification, family therapy in-home and in-office, extensive trauma work, advanced TF-CBT training, crisis management, crisis shelter and transitional living, trafficking, working with family and juvenile court systems, life skills groups, therapy in schools, collaborating with school administration and support systems, classroom curriculum regarding social emotional learning topics, and mental health in transitions to high school and college. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you’re dealing with stress, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, or past trauma, we’ll work together to help you build insight, develop practical tools, and move forward with confidence.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am genuinely passionate about learning someone's story and how they arrived to the current point in their unique journey. I've always been drawn to learn about cultures and backgrounds different than my own and believe that is how we all grow as humans both personally and as a society. I love to learn about perspectives I have not personally experienced in my walk and know that I have so much to learn about the world through others.
