About My Clients

Do you feel stuck or hopeless about a problem in your life? Is Anxiety making you feel overwhelmed? Does Depression keep you from enjoying things? Do you feel pressure that your life "should" look a certain way? Trying to live up to other people's expectations or even our own can be exhausting. I look forward to working with you and gaining some insight and understanding about the issues affecting your life and how to navigate through them.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and enjoy working with adults, adolescents, couples, and I run a group for artists. I have an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles, and started working in a community mental health clinic working with adults and couples. I also have experience working with vulnerable youth and families, doing field work in-home and school-based. I work from a postmodern approach, meaning I am curious about your life, your narrative, and what things you give value to. I am compassionate and non-judgmental with my clients. Through our sessions, we can identify the problems in your life, map out how they are affecting your current situation, and explore ways to confront them and strip them of their power. Together, we will establish goals and figure out ways to move towards them. We will build off of your strengths and successes. We will track your progress, as well as adjust and work through any obstacles that come up along the way.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify as a queer biracial womxn and use the pronouns she/her/hers. Social justice and the environment are very important to me. I am active in my POC and LGBTQ communities and support other marginalized groups. I also have a background in Art and have an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design. I enjoy working with artists, writers, and performers. I have lived throughout the western US as well as Paris and Berlin. I enjoy traveling, visiting art galleries and museums, and spending time in the outdoors.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
