About My Clients

Is there something you're hoping to change in your life? A habit that’s not serving you, or your approach to relationships, or the way you think about things? Whether you're feeling unmotivated, don't know where to start, or just want support and guidance, therapy with me will help you make your way towards change. My role as I see it is to help you explore the changes you want to make and guide you in forging a path towards a life in line with your values.

My Background and Approach

I have nearly a decade of experience providing therapy to adult clients, including six years in a VA substance use clinic treating co-occurring disorders. From my background treating substance use disorders, I have a vast repertoire of approaches to change that can be applied to a number of behaviors. This experience has also highlighted the importance of tailoring a plan to each client, as the process of change is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is integrative, utilizing principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI). I place emphasis on exploring your personal values and using these to inform your goals as you work toward a more satisfying life. I am a firm believer that you are the expert on your own experience, and will work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs.
