About My Clients
Dr. Conrad strives to create a safe, affirming space. Her approach is highly individualized. Dr. Conrad works with BIPOC, Highly Sensitive Persons, and Creative individuals from a variety of backgrounds and identities, including those navigating neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ issues, and experiences.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Conrad’s approach to care is collaborative and integrative, rooted in the belief that each person is inherently whole. She has worked with individuals facing mental health issues, intellectual impairments, learning disabilities, giftedness, and autism in both educational and clinical settings. She has received a Doctorate in Psychology with Clinical Specialization. Her research on intergroup aggression among females and its mental health impacts informs her therapeutic approach. With a background in servant leadership, psychology, education, and the arts, Dr. Conrad has completed four AmeriCorps service programs and earned the Silver-level Presidential Volunteer Service Award in recognition of commitment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Visual Art/Psychology, a Master of Education, and is licensed as an educational diagnostician and educator in Texas and New Mexico. She has received additional training in Curanderismo, Reiki, Perinatal Mental Health, and EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Dr. Conrad is a mother, spouse, and first-generation college student of Dominican and Mexican heritage. She is neurodivergent, queer, and a daughter of immigrants raised in a working-class household. She is grounded in cultural connection, care, and community. She approaches her practice with a humanistic framework. Outside her professional life, Dr. Conrad values time with loved ones, enjoys gardening, reading, and immersing herself in creative projects.
