About My Clients
I have specific experience supporting healthcare workers and adult survivors of childhood abuse, as well as children and teenagers facing mental health challenges. I am also deeply committed to assisting LGBTQIA individuals and those from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds. Many clients begin to experience relief as they find a safe, supportive, and affirming space in our sessions. I provide a caring, person-centered approach, working with children, teens, adults, and families.
My Background and Approach
I empower my clients by providing strength-based and practical tools to help them apply what they learn in therapy to their everyday lives. I offer extended sessions as well as Intensive EMDR sessions to support deeper healing in a shorter time frame. Together, we will develop practical strategies for lasting change, enabling you to feel whole and in control now. I have extensive training in psychotherapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. I am certified in Mindfulness-Based Play-Family Therapy, a method that assists both children and their parents, as well as in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a technique that helps heal trauma and other emotional challenges. My diverse experiences have led me on a path of healing and sharing with others. Many clients find relief in our sessions, where they can discover a safe and supportive environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, recognizing the unique challenges they face. I also work with culturally and spiritually diverse clients, acknowledging the unique intersections of those with marginalized identities. My focus is on supporting my clients in what is meaningful to them while creating a supportive environment for those exploring their beliefs and identity. By integrating my clients’ beliefs, culture, and experiences, I strive to create a rich therapeutic experience grounded in authenticity. I want my clients to feel comfortable and safe to express themselves fully, without judgment, but with unconditional positive regard.
