About My Clients

I am a strong believer that my clients are the expert of themselves and their experiences. Thus, clients working with me are welcome to share their experience from their perspective and trust in me to aide in navigating/processing those experiences. I'm here to support individuals who are experiencing LGBTQIA+ related difficulties, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and/or clients who are seeking support but are not sure of their focus just yet.

My Background and Approach

I am a counseling intern working on my final year of a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I have six years of experience in the field, primarily working in community mental health as support staff and a case manager. I strongly believe that each individual has the right to have access to a safe and brave space. I aim to both create and share that space with my clients. Being a member of the queer community, working with the LGBTQIA+ population is not only an area I am familiar with, but also a focus of mine. As a counselor I offer a person-centered and a strengths-based approach. In our shared space, my goal is to try to maintain cultural humility and curiosity. My role as a counselor is to provide an empathetic and compassionate space for you to process your experiences, while also providing the necessary support to assist you.
