About My Clients
As a licensed psychologist, I provide psychotherapy services to adults facing a wide array of difficulties. While I believe that pain is an inevitable part of life, suffering can be reduced through the psychotherapy process. While I’ve specialized in clients with PTSD/trauma, I have a generalist background and can treat a wide array of presenting concerns ranging from depression, anger management, OCD, relationship distress, or life transitions.
My Background and Approach
After graduate school I moved to Pittsburgh to work in the VA healthcare system, where I spent most of my career specializing in trauma disorders. I integrate cognitive-behavioral strategies with acceptance-based techniques to foster autonomy, empowerment, and growth. I work with clients on their goals and needs and tailor therapy to the individual or couple. I’m a certified provided in CPT, WET, PE, CBT, and CBCT (couples PTSD therapy).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an inclusive therapist and have very little tolerance for bigotry or disrespect towards others, especially those in marginalized populations. I’ve volunteered in the past with suicide prevention hotlines and assisted in past years working information booths at the Pittsburgh Pride Festival. I’m a strong supporter of the Black Lives Matters movement and I stand with Ukraine. I also love my Persian cat!
