About My Clients
Have you experienced a scary or life threatening event that you can't stop thinking about? Having nightmares or unwanted "pop up ad" like thoughts that make it hard to enjoy life? If so, you may be experiencing post-traumatic stress, and I look forward to being able to help you reduce your anxiety and provide you with skills to help resolve this trauma and move forward with your life.
My Background and Approach
Change is very often difficult. We tend to resist the unknown or uncomfortable, even if it means continuing to experience emotional suffering! Engaging in psychotherapy can be a great way to mobilize your inner resources, and help explore any obstacles impeding your quality of life. You may be seeking answers to specific questions or patterns you've observed - or perhaps simply to feel heard and understood. These are some of the many reasons to pursue therapy. I believe in providing a non-judgmental space, in which a genuine therapeutic relationship can develop and thrive. Ideally this allows for two mutually beneficial input sources -- the therapist's expertise in psychological theory and treatments, and the client's invaluable knowledge of his or her unique set of past and present experiences.
