About My Clients
I primarily work with individuals with anxiety, depression, unresolved grief/loss, complex trauma and PTSD, substance use and other addictive disorders, life stresses and challenges, and sexuality issues.
My Background and Approach
In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you challenge negative thoughts and old beliefs about oneself, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process old traumatizing or distressing memories, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you identify and meet your goals. I am passionate about the work that I do and compassionate towards your struggles and challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life gets a little difficult sometimes, and it is hard to ask for help. But I am here to tell you that it is ok to ask for help and makes you a stronger person for doing so! I am here to help you with whatever you are going through, whether that be a navigating a new or big life change or digging into childhood trauma that has left a sore spot throughout your life. When I am not being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and our fur animals. We enjoy traveling and exploring the world as much as we can. I also enjoy watching sports, going to the beach, and messing around with my salt water aquariums.
