About My Clients
In my work within higher education and in private practice I have had the opportunity to serve diverse communities from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am open and happy to work with any client. Based on my background I am very familiar with working people with Asian and Latinx cultural backgrounds. I specialize in relationship issues, focusing on couples work and self esteem to find healthy relationships.
My Background and Approach
I work from a mostly relational and CBT based approach. My work is interested in identifying what is not working for the client and why this behavior or issue is reoccurring. Exploring the "why" is very important to moving towards replacing and building new behaviors or instituting healthy boundaries.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
People are not their diagnosis. I treat every client with empathy and respect. We are a summation of all our parts not just the pieces we want to change.
