About My Clients
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who are ready to work through challenges and build healthier relationships. I especially enjoy working with young adults, couples navigating conflict, and families seeking stronger communication. As a biracial therapist-in-training who is fluent in Spanish, I am passionate about serving Latino and African American communities, where therapy is often less accessible or stigmatized.
My Background and Approach
As a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee, I combine several approaches to meet each client where they are. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, which can ease anxiety, depression, and relationship stress. I also use a psychodynamic lens to explore how past experiences and family dynamics shape present struggles, allowing clients to gain insight and long-term growth. In addition, I incorporate narrative therapy, which helps people reframe the stories they tell about themselves and discover new, more empowering perspectives. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel understood and supported, while also learning practical tools they can use outside of sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel safe, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. As a biracial therapist-in-training, I am passionate about supporting both the Latino and African American communities, where therapy has often been stigmatized or out of reach. I value creating space where people can be seen, understood, and empowered to heal. I also care deeply about breaking cycles of family trauma and helping couples and families grow stronger together. Outside of therapy, I’ve worked as a coach and mentor, which has shaped how I show up, with patience, encouragement, and a belief that people can grow when given support.
