About My Clients
If you and/or your love ones are struggling with life, work, family, or school. I can help. My focus is on utilizing EMDR therapy to help adults overcome the events, irrational beliefs, and past emotionally charged memories that are holding them back from living a full life. EMDR has been shown to be useful for PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias; chronic illness and medical trauma, depression and bipolar disorder, grief and loss, dissociative disorders, pain, performance anxiety, etc.,
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy should be focused on helping you identify and develop the tools to grow. My approach focuses primarily on eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR), however, mindfulness is introduced and encouraged to help bring awareness to help in processing and other modalities may be used as a supplement to help in your forward movement. I work with adults. Additionally, I'm trained in psychosynthesis, Core Shamanism, as well studies transpersonal psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity for change and growth, and I think that the main reason we develop mental health issues is possibly due to unhealthy learned behaviours but also from events that have happened in our past that our minds have held onto which then set the foundations for later issues and/or problems.
