About My Clients
My clients are good at what they do until the anxiety kicks in. The audition, the pitch, the courtroom, the keynote, the meeting where you have to be on. The heart races, the mind goes blank, the voice tightens, and the version of you that shows up is not the one you know yourself to be. Maybe it has cost you a role, a raise, or a relationship. Maybe you have managed it for years and you are tired of what it takes. Performance anxiety is a specific, treatable problem. It is not a character flaw.
My Background and Approach
I am a results-oriented therapist. I draw on approaches with real evidence behind them and match them to what is actually in your way: cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy skills, and psychodynamic work when the pattern runs deeper. Insight is not the goal, new experiences are, so we practice where the pressure is real and the result holds when it counts. Before I trained as a therapist, I spent three decades in high-pressure rooms: a Navy rescue swimmer, an actor with an MFA from Rutgers under William Esper, a portrait photographer, and the producer of events for a community of Fortune 70 leaders. I am completing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University, and I see clients under the clinical supervision of a New York State licensed clinical social worker. The aim is simple: you stop losing the moments that matter, and you need me less over time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that new behaviors are not created just through new insights. They are created through new experiences. The aim in every session is to help you feel better in between sessions and move closer to what you want and further away from what you don't want.
