My Background and Approach
Dr. Savin is licensed to practice in New York State and holds specialized training in clinical psychology, health psychology, neuropsychology, and geropsychology. With over 30 authored works throughout a 10-year tenure in psychology, Dr. Savin is a pioneer in clinical neuropsychology. Their expertise encompasses neurodevelopmental (ADHD), psychiatric (anxiety and depression), neurologic (Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias), and multiple chronic health conditions (HIV) across diverse settings and populations. Dr. Savin's research has garnered recognition from elite tribal, state, federal, international, non-profit, and private organizations globally, with funding/awards received from the State of California, California Academy of Science, Ford Foundation, National Science Foundation, National Institute of Health, International Neuropsychological Society, Alzheimer’s Association, and The Allen Institute.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In addition to extensive research and clinical accomplishments, Dr. Savin is dedicated to advancing equitable science and diversifying the field. They have served as a DEI Committee Member and Director for multiple non-profit organizations, including SACNAS: The Diversity Conference, March for Science, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Furthermore, Dr. Savin co-founded the Wisdom Workshop for Indigenous Neuropsychology Global Strategies and served as a Diplomatic Representative for the United Nations in 2022.
