About My Clients
I work with professionals in high-pressure careers. Many of my clients are successful professionally but feel that they are struggling to keep up in other areas of life, such as losing a sense of direction, having difficulty tending to relationships, and struggling to take care of their own mental health needs. I also work with those who have survived traumatic experiences or lived through complex trauma.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Psychologist and have a PhD in Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited doctoral program. I received five years of valuable postgraduate academic training and thousands of hours of supervision from expert therapists and mentors. I come to the therapy room with a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience gained from this education. Therapy with me is collaborative. Together we will explore your situation and find ways to confront the problem more effectively. You will find that I will balance providing you with validation and support with an equal focus on challenging you to try different perspectives and approaches. My clients report feeling comfortable to open up honestly, but also that they appreciate my direct feedback. I will tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs, I do not use a cookie-cutter approach nor try to fit my clients into a programmatic therapy course.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have room to grow, and that personal development is always possible. Therapy is an effective tool in that process.
