About My Clients

Any and all are welcome.

My Background and Approach

In professional and personal settings, I have extensive experience in an array of mental illness and how they can present, gender identities and sexual orientations, and general life challenges and transitions. I have worked a total of 5 years at a crisis helpline in addition to a psychiatric facility on adult and adolescent units where I have encountered as many individuals and circumstances that one can imagine. One of the main understandings that I’ve taken away from these experiences is that at the very least, everyone needs someone to just listen to them, without judgement. Because of my academic and professional training, I have interventions and tools to add to the equation; but I want to stress that I intentionally approach every client with a listening ear, an open mind, and a safe space. And I am honored to be able to provide this to you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It has always been an inherent belief in me that every individual matters equally (including animals, but we’re not here for that right now). As such, I am an active advocate for LGBQIA+ rights, Black and Brown lives rights, and women’s rights. Additionally, I believe that every behavior and emotion has an reason for it and can be adjusted. As a human with her own history, I have overcome my own challenges that stemmed from development as well as inborn traits that weren’t accepted in a biased and close-minded society. After seeking my own mental health treatment, my life and relationships have improved to a degree that I never believed was possible. Although it was a difficult lesson to learn, I have leaned that our issues are our superpowers. My experiences garnered a passion in me to bring this change and understanding to others in need. You are strong for getting here and seeking help for yourself, and you deserve o receive that help.
