About My Clients
Many families come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure of how to help their child, or exhausted from trying everything they can think of. I work with children, adolescents, and their families who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to create a space where children feel safe enough to express themselves while helping parents better understand what their child is experiencing.
My Background and Approach
I believe every child deserves to feel understood before they are expected to change. My work is rooted in the belief that behavior is communication, and I strive to understand the experiences, emotions, and strengths that shape each child's unique story. By approaching children with curiosity, compassion, and respect, we can create lasting change that reaches beyond the therapy office. My approach is collaborative, developmentally appropriate, and grounded in evidence-based practices including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and parent collaboration. I believe caregivers are an essential part of the therapeutic process, and I work alongside families to build practical tools that strengthen relationships, increase emotional regulation, and support children both at home and in their everyday lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe children thrive when they feel safe, connected, and accepted for who they are. Every child deserves adults who are willing to slow down, listen with curiosity, and seek to understand the meaning behind their behaviors. I value authenticity, empathy, inclusion, and collaboration, and I strive to create a welcoming environment where children and families feel respected, supported, and empowered. My hope is that therapy not only helps children navigate current challenges but also strengthens the relationships that help them flourish throughout life.
