I see addiction as a response to pain—not a failure of willpower. Often, it's a part of you doing its best to soothe or numb what has felt unbearable. In therapy, we focus on building distress tolerance, so you don’t have to run from hard feelings. We explore the deeper needs beneath the urges, and I help you practice new ways of relating—to yourself, your emotions, and others. Healing from addiction isn't just about stopping a behavior; it's about creating a life that feels meaningful.

Attachment injuries often leave us carrying deep beliefs that we are too much, not enough, or fundamentally unlovable. In therapy, I work to create a space where those wounded parts of you are not just tolerated—but welcomed, seen, and respected. This becomes the ground for a corrective emotional experience: a relationship built on consistency, attunement, and emotional safety. Healing doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means rewriting what it’s like to be known.

I view anxiety through an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens—as a protective part of you trying to keep you safe. Often, anxious parts are stuck in overdrive, carrying old burdens of fear, shame, or control. In therapy, we slow down and get curious. Rather than fighting the anxiety, we listen to it, understand what it’s protecting, and help it soften. You’ll learn to relate to your anxiety with more compassion and clarity, creating space for calmer, more confident parts of you to lead.

While I’m not formally certified in IFS, I’ve received ongoing training and supervision in the model and integrate it deeply into my work. IFS helps us understand the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own story, emotion, and intention. Some parts protect us, some carry pain, and all are trying—often in conflicted ways—to help us survive. In therapy, I guide clients in getting to know these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping them heal inner wounds and create more peace

As a Level 1 EFT-trained therapist, I help couples identify and understand the negative cycle that keeps them stuck—often a pattern of protest, withdrawal, or disconnection. We slow things down and look beneath the conflict to uncover the softer emotions and unmet attachment needs driving it. My role is to help each partner feel seen, safe, and emotionally accessible, so they can begin to reach for one another with more vulnerability and care. I draw from ACT to help clients move toward the life they want, even when painful thoughts or emotions show up along the way. Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort, ACT invites us to make space for it—while still choosing actions that align with our deepest values. In session, we practice noticing thoughts without getting tangled in them, staying present in the moment, and taking courageous steps toward what matters most. ACT offers a path forward that’s both compassionate and empowering.
