About My Clients
Are you struggling with identity, feel far away from any sense of belonging, or find your life lacking purpose and meaning? Are you feeling misunderstood in relationships, stuck in the wounding of past traumas, or stricken down by the oppressive systems that we live under? I know how the weight of isolation, emptiness, systemic injustice, and relational disconnection can make life feel unlivable. I am here to help you re-connect with what roots you into peace, purpose, and relational wellbeing.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) who works with individuals (ages 13+), couples, and polycules around depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship conflict, identity development, climate grief, existential crises, the emotional impacts of systemic oppression, and more. I identify as Queer, nonbinary/agender, of mixed European and Japanese ancestry, and am a devoted Animist and folk herbalist — perspectives that directly inform my holistic view of wellness. My approach to therapy is grounded in anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and ecospiritual values. I draw upon Relational-Cultural Theory, Narrative Therapy, parts work, Somatic Experiencing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy as guiding therapeutic modalities — but above any specific technique, my ultimate focus is on developing a collaborative and relational foundation from which meaningful healing can take place.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I wholeheartedly believe in the interwoven connectedness of all things, and I seek to understand all situations through a systemic and contextual lens. I welcome clients as their whole, complex selves, and hope to support purposeful growth through careful integration of mind, body, and spirit. I hold sacred the vast complexities of the human experience -- meaning that laughter, tears, and all else in between is welcomed in the therapeutic space with me.
