About My Clients
My clientele are typically facing relationship and marital issues, depression, anxiety, social anxiety and self-esteem related challenges, and adjustment-, stress-, and trauma related disorders.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma-informed therapist, my priority is creating a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and in control of the pace of your therapy journey. I approach therapy through a strengths-based, trauma-informed, attachment-based lens. My special competencies include depression, anxiety, cultural adjustment, marital issues, acute and chronic illness. My background in IOP (intensive outpatient program) -setting gave me chance to come alongside with clients in crisis and with acute illness including self-harming, suicidal ideation, mood disorders, BPD, and psychotic disorders. I personally live with an autoimmune disorder and know the impact of chronic illness on emotional and mental health well. I value meeting clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities and orientations. My own background has included adjustment to differing cultures from my origin - I will ensure my best effort at offering inclusive and culturally sensitive care.

I believe in your ability to change and heal. I believe that we all have within us what it takes to heal and grow - my goal is to guide you to reconnect with your inner resources, wisdom, and resilience to achieve your therapy goals. I will offer a collaborative process of exploring new strategies and tools, gaining insight and an alternative perspective on your issue. I recognize that past experiences shape emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Together, we'll work at your pace, using approaches that honor your resilience and strengths, helping you regain trust in yourself and move toward meaningful change. I also acknowledge that our social and political environments create the realities we live in including barriers to safety and accessing resources. I value diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and I approach my work through the empowerment framework.
