About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults and older adults coping with cancer, chronic illness, medical trauma, grief, insomnia, caregiving and life transitions such as aging and survivorship.
My Background and Approach
After many years of working in hospitals I started my private practice so I could spend more meaningful time with clients and develop deeper relationships. I provide a safe and affirming therapeutic space where you can challenge yourself, learn and grow. I view our sessions as a shared endeavor to help you achieve your goals and use a variety of therapeutic approaches such as strengths-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. As a Certified Case Manager (CCM) I can also help with important healthcare related documents such as disability applications and advance directives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value inclusivity and am an advocate for social justice. I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, national origins, religions, abilities, sexual orientations and genders. I identify as culturally Jewish and appreciate a good bagel with lox. I am also a huge animal lover and my dog Milo will make appearances in our sessions upon request (although he may be napping).
