About My Clients
I work with Asian professionals, international students, and first- or second-generation immigrants who navigate identity, belonging, and high expectations. Many of my clients are skilled at holding everything together — at work, in relationships, or between cultures — but feel increasingly disconnected from themselves. My ideal clients value depth and curiosity — they may not want “quick fixes,” but a more integrated way of understanding and living.
My Background and Approach
I received my MSW degree from Columbia University and have received systematic training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and trauma-informed care to support clients struggling with emotional dysregulation and relational challenges. I’m also trained in Existential Analysis, which deepens my work in helping clients explore self-acceptance, personal value, and meaning. My experience providing therapy in community mental health clinic and outpatient group practices has strengthened my belief that healing happens when both one’s personal story and the larger systems that shape it are honored. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you can better understand yourself, find clarity, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is both personal and collective. My work is rooted in respect for cultural heritage, social justice, and psychological integration — helping clients honor where they come from while creating space for who they are becoming. Outside of sessions, I’m also actively engaging in EA’s philosophy of self-experiencing, allowing myself to be impacted by life.
