About My Clients
Clients with whom I've been successful have struggled with emotions, relationships, past trauma, parenting, substance abuse, LGBT issues, issues related to sexuality and gender, and issues common to women over 40.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Masters in Social Work degree from The University of Kentucky in 1996. I received my clinical license in social work in 2000. I have an eclectic approach, but rely heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. My sessions tend to be relaxed and conversational and more importantly, I've been told I am a great listener.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the dignity and worth of every human being. I also believe my clients know themselves best and with guidance, are able to improve their own circumstances and meet their own goals. Even when I am not able to help clients myself, I am committed to helping them find a therapist who can.
