About My Clients
Maybe you are used to holding everything together, but lately it feels harder. A life transition has left you questioning who you are, anxiety is taking up too much space, or your relationship with food and your body is wearing you down. You may look capable while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck inside. You don't need the right words or to know exactly where to begin. We can slow down, make sense of what is happening, and help you feel more at home in yourself and your life.
My Background and Approach
My approach combines clinical training with decades of lived experience navigating relationships, family life, change, and cultural expectations. I bring empathy, honest conversation, advocacy, creativity, and lightness to our work, along with evidence-based tools tailored to you. My graduate training in clinical mental health counseling at Wake Forest University, along with training as a Be Body Positive Facilitator, Qualified MB-EAT Instructor in Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training, Certified MBSR Practitioner, Certified Yoga Teacher, and IAEDP core coursework in eating-disorder care, informs my work. Depending on what you need, we may draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, body-centered work, or ERP. You will not be handed a one-size-fits-all plan or treated like a problem to fix. We will work together to understand what is keeping you stuck, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and build practical changes that help you feel more connected, confident, and fully yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe your worth is not measured by productivity, appearance, weight, relationship status, or how well you care for everyone else. Bodies are not problems to solve, and no one should have to shrink themselves physically or emotionally to belong. I value autonomy, curiosity, honesty, compassion, and respect for the experiences that shape each person. Therapy should make room for your values and beliefs rather than asking you to fit someone else’s idea of wellness. I also believe therapy can be meaningful without feeling formal or heavy every minute. Creativity, humor, and plainspoken conversation have a place alongside difficult work. As a woman, mother, wife, and person who has lived through her own changes and reinventions, I know growth is rarely neat or linear. My role is not to tell you who to become. It is to help you hear yourself more clearly, make room for what matters, and live with greater connection and self-trust.
