About My Clients
My favorite folks to work with are those looking to better themselves and their relationships in some way. Need better habits, coping skills, or relaxation methods? I can help! Negative thinking patterns getting in the way of an important relationship? I can help! Need support after a loss or during a transition? I can help!
My Background and Approach
I have a bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy, and am a Licensed marriage and family therapist in Indiana. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (around childbearing) and I have special training on: Family, Couples, Military/ Veteran, Grief, Infertility, Trauma, Teens, and LGBTQ+ populations. I can utilize a variety of methods to help you feel better. I will support and encourage, challenge and confront you at necessary times. I curse sometimes, use humor, and have a box of fidgets in my office.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in being a genuine and kind person, as often as possible. My values include lifelong learning, challenging systems of oppression, doing what you can to affect change, personal responsibility, and taking care of the world around us. I think Black Lives Matter, Trans Rights are Human Rights, Feminism is for Everyone, No Human is Illegal, and Love is Love. I have volunteered with Postpartum Support International in the past (3 kids really puts a damper on free time) and have supported the Suicide Awareness Walk and Domestic Violence Prevention and Awareness Walk in my state for about 10 years.
