About My Clients

My clients are looking to deepen their understanding of their experiences, trauma, and coping skills to enhance their quality of life. My ideal client is unafraid to face truths about themself, become ready to make needed changes, and then do the difficult work. Once we become ready to accept who we are; we then can become ready to make the needed changes.

My Background and Approach

Doctorate in Counseling Psychology (Psy.D). Master’s in professional counseling. Certified Grief Therapist. Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression. Certified trainer for Mental Health First Aid. Member of American Psychological Association (APA) and Pennsylvania Psychology Association (PPA). Licensed Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania and PsyPACT (38+ states), and worked at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, State Correctional Institution in Greene County (PA), North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Allegheny County Jail, and more.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania and 38+ states (through PsyPACT), my goal is to serve people of all backgrounds, experiences, and belief systems throughout the United States. I have an extensive background working with survivors of trauma and violent crimes through their recovery process. I aim to practice the very same life skills and relationship patterns that I suggest to my clients: focusing on self-care, healthy boundaries, and personal growth.
