About My Clients

My clients are often carrying something heavy — emotional overwhelm, a pattern they can't break, or a numbness that's settled in after years of pushing through. Some are navigating recovery. Some are teens who shut down in traditional therapy. Others are adults whose lives look fine on the outside but feel disconnected underneath. What they share: they need more than just talking about it, and they're ready for a different way in.

My Background and Approach

I began my career as a board-certified music therapist and later worked in inpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment, supporting people in complex and high stress situations. That experience shaped how I approach therapy today. I focus on what is practical, steady, and actually helpful in real life, not just insight. My style is calm, grounded, and collaborative. I use a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and narrative therapy to help you understand patterns, build coping skills, and make meaningful changes over time. When helpful, I can also draw on creative approaches, but the focus is always on what works best for you. We move at a pace that feels manageable, with the goal of helping you feel more clear, steady, and capable in your day to day life.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

If you've tried therapy before and felt like you had to perform your healing — say the right things, feel the right feelings, make progress on someone else's timeline — that's exhausting. And it's not what therapy should feel like. I'm a good fit for people who are tired of talking without anything actually shifting. For those who struggle to put their experience into words. For teens and tweens who shut down in traditional therapy because the format doesn't fit how they process. For adults who need a space that feels calm and non-pressuring rather than clinical or confrontational. I bring clinical depth — inpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, social work — alongside creative and expressive tools that help us access what words alone can't. If talking hasn't worked for you, that's not a failure — it just means we need a different way in.
