My Background and Approach
I firmly believe we have within us the capacity to heal, to grow, and find meaning in our lives. I provide an active, compassionate, trauma informed and collaborative approach where we work together to uncover and shift old patterns, build tools, process and integrate the past, when desired, to fully realize your strengths and capacity for healing. I fully recognize that you are the expert of your life, which means I recognize your strengths, honor your background and provide both brief and long term therapy approaches depending on your goals for therapy. I engage with an affirming, anti-oppression lens as a witness and guide as you find your way through. I utilize relational, cognitive behavioral, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness and somatic based interventions as well as Emotionally Focused Therapy, IFS and EFT.
