About My Clients
I have been working with adults with substance use and trauma for over 13 years in a clinic setting.I approach the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative effort with an emphasis on building trust and rapport. My primary goal is to work with you on your journey to reclaim the life you desire based on your own agency and the resilience you embody. I apply a harm reduction approach to substance use and have extensive experience working with clients involved in the criminal justice system.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC), certified as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC). I am also a Yoga Teacher who is trained in Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery through Veterans Yoga Project, trained in EMDR, and an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) to offer you a truly holistic experience. I have been working with adults with substance use and trauma for over 13 years in a clinic setting. I am experienced in working with clients who have past sexual trauma and want to rediscover and redefine their sexuality for themselves as as something that can be both pleasurable and safe.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am LGBTQ+ allied, gender affirming, kink/BDSM aware/informed/affirming, sex positive, BIPOC allied, and knowledgeable of various relationship styles (poly, open, non monogamy etc..). Together, we will work to help you live your most authentic life free from past shame and stigma.
