About My Clients
I love being able to provide a listening ear and give back to those who want to be heard. I work best with clients who strive for learning and growth. With each session I hope the client comes away with new found understanding or knowledge about their current situation to help move towards their life goals and accomplishments.
My Background and Approach
I have 17 years of counseling experience and earned my masters degree in 2013. I spent most of my experience working with individuals who have concerns with substance use, depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, gender concerns, and concerns related to weight. I like to use a strengths based approach, though provide time to processing the struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to have the life they want but sometimes mental health concerns can interfere with that. I am here to try and lighten the load, and see or hear things that we can miss when we are in the middle of managing our mental health. Together as a team, we can gain insight into what is not working and find what will hopefully work.
