Accepting Clients

Hi, I'm Melissa. I'd be honored to hear your story, offer a supportive space, and help you move toward healing.

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Goodlettsville, TN

About My Clients

I work with clients navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Many have spent years carrying the weight of others, feeling responsible for everyone else while neglecting themselves. They struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, or unhealthy relationship patterns and are ready to better understand themselves, heal from the past, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

My Approach to Helping

I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe healing isn't one-size-fits-all, which is why I draw from evidence-based approaches that best support your individual needs. My role is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel supported, challenged when appropriate, and empowered to move forward. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical skills, and work toward meaningful, sustainable progress. My work incorporates EMDR, somatic practices, and other evidence-based therapies to address both the emotional and physical impact of trauma, anxiety, and life's challenges. Throughout the process, we'll focus not only on understanding your past but also on helping you build the life you want moving forward.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe your past may have shaped you, but it doesn't have to define your future. My hope is to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and build a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with your values. I know that reaching out for therapy isn't always easy, and I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the healing process. It would be an honor to be part of that journey with you. I'm proud to serve clients throughout Tennessee and Florida and to provide LGBTQIA+-affirming care. I also serve on the board of Her Voice In The Darkness, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. My work is grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and the belief that healing is possible for everyone.
