About My Clients
My ideal clients have tried to push through — and finally decided they deserve real support. They are first responders, SANE nurses, military personnel, and healthcare workers carrying the invisible weight of what they witness every day. They are trauma survivors who felt like therapy never quite got to the root. People living with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety that won't quiet, PTSD that keeps rewriting their present. Ready to heal — not just cope.
My Background and Approach
I'm Melissa Perry, MA, LPC, LCPC, NMIT — a licensed holistic therapist and Natural Medicine Facilitators (License #NMIT.0000363, verified through Colorado's Division of Professions and Occupations). For over 20 years I've worked with first responders, SANE nurses, ER clinicians, military personnel, and healthcare workers carrying what most people will never understand. I've worked with trauma survivors who felt like something was always just out of reach. And people living with treatment-resistant depression, OCD, moral injury, and PTSD that keeps rewriting their present. My approach combines EMDR, somatic therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT, ERP for OCD, psychedelic integration, and licensed psilocybin-assisted therapy under Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act tailored to your unique nervous system. Never cookie-cutter. Always at the root.Serving CO in-person/telehealth, KS and MO via telehealth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up believing that people are more resilient than they know and that the right support at the right moment can change everything. That belief has driven every chapter of my career. For years I have had the privilege of consulting with forensic SANE nurses across KS. Sitting with some of the most courageous professionals I have ever met, people who show up for survivors of sexual assault on the hardest days of those survivors' lives. That work changed me. It deepened my commitment to the helpers , the people who give everything and rarely ask for anything in return.Outside the therapy room I am most alive in nature. The mountains of Colorado are my reset button. Hiking, breathing, remembering what matters. I share my life with animals who remind me daily that presence and unconditional love are the most healing forces on earth. My family is my anchor. And if you ever catch me completely absorbed in something that has nothing to do with therapy it is probably social justice.
