About My Clients
Have you lost a loved one, pet, relationship, a job or career, or even your sense of self? Is time passing since your loss but you still feel anxious, depressed, and unable to move forward? Are you tired of isolating and telling friends and family everything is okay? Are you ultimately starting to realize "just giving it some time" is not enough anymore?
My Background and Approach
Therapy is never easy, but with the right partner, the results are worth it. I use an eclectic, client-centered approach to pull from different therapeutic modalities that will work best for you. Together, we develop a plan for healing that plays to your strengths, personality, and style of learning. I am committed to providing the best care possible in an inclusive environment where my clients feel welcomed, respected, understood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am first and foremost a survivor of narcissistic abuse, which indirectly brought me to become a therapist. I also believe many mental health issues are the result of our interactions with an unjust Capitalist system that creates undue stress we would not experience if resources were evenly distributed. But here we are in this crazy world where my job wouldn't exist if everything was great and because we are here I believe part of my purpose is to help people. I also truly believe there is no limit in our ability to heal our minds and some of this is currently being evidenced in the psychedelic therapy community of which i am a huge supporter. In addition to being a therapist I am a certified death doula and volunteer at a hospice weekly. When I am not at work, I am enjoying live music or hanging out with my dogs, who just happen to be the two best dogs in the whole world. If you think I might be the right therapist for you, feel free to email or call me. Yep I said call, LOL
