About My Clients
I have experience working with both adults and adolescents dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, severe and persistent mental illness, and interpersonal conflict. I also have several years of experience with teaching and facilitating the use of relationship education tools with both couples and individuals.
My Background and Approach
I hold a master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida and am also a Certified Relationship Educator in PREP 8.0 (Prevention and Relation Education Program). My focus is to develop a strong relationship with clients to effectively help them on their journey to wellness. I consider it a great privilege to help couples, families, and individuals on their path towards their goals and overall growth. I utilize an integrative approach, mainly utilizing techniques from systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all have the need to be loved, accepted, and heard. We are all humans under construction, trying to make it through our day-to-day as best we can, and that takes work! My goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where you do not feel judged, can openly express yourself, and begin "doing the work." Therapy is an opportunity to self-reflect, challenge oneself, and grow individually and interpersonally. My hope is to develop a strong relationship with my clients and help them on their path to personal growth and wellness. My goal is to help you find peace where there is disorder and healing where there is pain. I give my clients the chance to explore different areas of their life that may be affecting their mental health and work with them towards discovering purpose and fulfillment.
