About My Clients
My areas of specialty include mood disorders, trauma/PTSD, substance use disorders, life transitions, and relationship issues. I utilize trauma-informed care with each of my clients and prioritize individualized, collaborative treatment, drawing from evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III. I earned my Master's degree in social work from The Ohio State University and my Bachelor's degree in social work from Cleveland State University. My experience primarily lies in providing individual, group, and couples therapy in both community mental health and forensic social work as well as private practice. I have served a wide variety of client populations, including adults who have experienced incarceration, substance use, and religious trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am sex-positive, body positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and have experience with clients who practice ethical non-monogamy. I practice secular therapy and prioritize providing a safe and comfortable environment where my clients can feel fully seen and heard without fear of judgment. In my free time I love to scour flea markets and thrift shops for vintage finds, host parties for my friends, travel with my family and play video games.
