About My Clients
I work with clients who experience a range of challenges-- depression, anxiety, adjustment, relational conflict, etc. I will meet you where you are at, and focus on creating a path to where (and who) you want to be. I work with and affirm clients of all backgrounds, race, absence/presence of religious/spiritual beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, identity. You are the expert on your life-- I'm honored to be part of your journey.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2004, my Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University Calumet in 2009, and my Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University New England in 2013. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, I have published and presented on topics related to parenting, identity, feminist theory, and positive psychology. A thread of my contributions is wanting to respectively support clients in navigating life challenges in new ways, unique to them and their life experiences. I work with and affirm clients of all backgrounds. My approach is one that is respectful, compassionate, and collaborative, and balanced with an active role in providing support, practical feedback, and using evidence-based interventions. I promote acceptance in coming as you are and taking what you need most from the time we share.

Viewing clients as experts on their lives, I work with individuals, couples, and families to build on their strengths, facilitate growth, and enhance relationships. I strive to create a supportive, curious, and open space to honor individual needs, hopes, and vulnerabilities. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I feel honored to support clients in exploring different ways of thinking, living, and loving.Real change is possible. Healthy, loving relationships are possible.
