I work with adults and adolescents who want to end the daily pain of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or unhealthy relationships.

I fell in love with ACT because it teaches us to accept all emotions and thoughts as natural. The key is to accept whatever comes, sit with it and then let it go. We can’t control our impending thoughts any more than we can control the wind but trying to will make you feel like a failure and threaten your recovery!
As a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (Associate) I have specialized training in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders. I have worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor In a Medication Assisted Opioid Treatment Program.
I believe in and have trained in experiential therapies because they have the power to connect us to difficult, often repressed emotions that can be challenging to access through talk therapy alone. We will use a variety of creative avenues to achieve the goal of recovery from trauma and addiction.
I am currently pursuing my Trauma therapist certification to further expand on the research and trainings I have done on PTSD and Complex PTSD for years. I specialize in treating PTSD because I feel strongly that trauma is at the heart of all disruptive behaviors and emotions. While there is no cure for PTSD it can be effectively managed and even tapped into as a strength!
I worked within a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault agency for over five years as a crisis interventionist and advocate. I served on the 24/7 crisis lines, saw walk-in victims, and accompanied victims through the justice processes for both criminal and student conduct systems.
I worked as a crisis interventionist and victims advocate for over five years in a local agency and also worked within the University community. In these roles I responded as an advocate to accompany victims through the forensic exam and law enforcement interviews.
