My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Portland, Oregon who specializes in assessment and therapy with young children and adolescents. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon. My clinical experiences have focused on assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults from diverse backgrounds and with complex histories and symptoms. I conduct assessments and provide therapy for children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral challenges due to depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, or other environmental factors. I have received specialized training in early childhood, particularly in working with families with young children, aged 3 to 10 years. I utilize evidenced based approaches in my practice which are tailored to meet the individual needs of clients. My clinical work is strongly influenced by motivational interviewing, social learning theory, behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches, and trauma informed care.
