About My Clients
I work with clients struggling with anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, substance use problems, and identity-related stress. Treatment typically starts with weekly individual sessions to collaboratively determine a treatment plan and move towards a life worth living.
My Background and Approach
Treatment with me is collaborative and transparent. I take a curious and compassionate stance that is flexible and trauma-informed. I'm a New Yorker so I'm direct and my current Bay Area environment helps me take an intersectional approach. I remain flexible and humble to make changes throughout the course of our journey together. My style is direct, collaborative, compassionate, liberation-focused, and supported by research. I prefer evidence-based practice and empirically supported treatments. My clinical work primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, values-based, and mindfulness-based approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Do you feel like every day you are just trying to survive? You're not truly present or able to enjoy life? You have intense worry, self-doubt, and struggle with your confidence? My approach to therapy focuses on empowerment to overcome these issues and to move from simply surviving towards thriving. Let’s find the light and stay in it. I aim to support you on your healing journey. I create an environment in which an individual’s autonomy is valued and they feel both respected and understood.
