My Background and Approach
I work with adults, athletes, couples, and families navigating adoption, relationships, life transitions, and the mental side of competitive sports. My approach is warm and direct. I won't hand you a worksheet and call it therapy. I'll sit with you in the uncomfortable, ask the questions worth asking, and help you do work that actually goes somewhere.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As your therapist, I'll be your champion and your advocate — and I'll also challenge you to be your best self. I believe every session should feel worth your time. Not easy, necessarily. But purposeful. My practice centers around one common thread: Know yourself. Show up fully. I will never shy away from sharing my own experiences or mistakes if you can benefit from them, and, above all, I am willing to get into — and sit in — the “uncomfortable” right alongside you. I frequently utilize humor in therapy to allow for things to feel not so heavy all the time. I'm an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to provide a safe space for all who work with me. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, loving on my 3 precious pups (Norah, Jack, and Ellie), playing tennis, cooking, and playing the piano.
