About My Clients
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I see it as a journey we take together. You are the expert on your life, and I’m here to walk alongside you as we get curious about your experiences, untangle patterns, and explore new ways of navigating challenges. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and chronic illness. I bring warmth, compassion, and gentle humor to our sessions because healing doesn't always have to feel heavy.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, connection, and the belief that we all deserve to feel supported in our lives. I believe taking care of our mental health is an important part of living a fulfilling life, and that feeling understood and connected to others can make a real difference in our well-being. I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, openness, and a genuine human connection. I bring warmth, compassion, and a little humor into my work, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, exploring what’s going on beneath the surface, and figuring out what you need to feel more like yourself again. Therapy should be as unique as you are. Together, we’ll explore what you’re going through and find approaches that feel meaningful to you. Using CBT and ACT, I’ll help you build coping skills and resilience in a warm, welcoming space where you can be yourself, ask questions, share a laugh, and grow without fear of judgment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Giving back and supporting others through difficult experiences is something that is deeply meaningful to me. I have volunteered with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, where I facilitated a group for teens living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Having lived with IBD myself since childhood, I understand how chronic illness can affect not only physical health, but also emotional well-being, relationships, and one’s sense of self. My own journey, including living with a J-pouch, makes this work especially close to my heart. These experiences have deepened my commitment to creating a space where people feel understood, accepted, and supported without judgment. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen as a whole person, not defined by their struggles or circumstances.
