About My Clients
I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or impacted by trauma, stress, anxiety, or life transitions. Many of my clients value a collaborative, supportive space where they feel safe, heard, and respected. I support people who want to build emotional regulation, self-trust, and healthier relationships while moving at a pace that feels right for them.
My Background and Approach
With a strong background in mental health counseling, I specialize in providing compassionate, evidence-based support to clients dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I hold a Master of Social Work degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I developed a deep understanding of the complexities of human behavior and the importance of a holistic approach to mental health. Through my training and experience, I have honed skills in therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices. In addition to traditional therapy, I offer individual instruction in trauma-informed yoga therapy, integrating the principles of yoga with trauma-sensitive practices to support healing and recovery. This unique approach helps clients reconnect with their bodies, reduce stress, and build resilience in a safe and supportive environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a social worker because I deeply believe in people’s capacity for resilience, growth, and change, especially when they feel truly seen and supported. I am guided by the core values of the social work profession, including service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. I approach my work through a trauma-informed and equity-minded lens, and I am committed to creating a space that is affirming, respectful, and inclusive of diverse identities, cultures, and lived experiences. I care deeply about reducing stigma around mental health and increasing access to compassionate, ethical care. I strive to show up as my authentic self in the therapy space, with humility, curiosity, and warmth, while honoring each client’s autonomy and strengths. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they build insight, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-trust.
