I'm an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) specialist. Being HSP is kinda like The Force: very lightside/darkside. Lightside: you're ultra-caring, sunsets are extra-pretty, people’s vibes write you novels & you have the kind of intense emotional connections that they write songs about. Darkside: you get exhausted, worry constantly if people are upset with you, others take advantage of you, & you have the kind of intense emotional connections that they write songs about.
My Background and Approach
You are a universe & I relish curating a counseling experience tailored to your needs, culture, values & comfort. My approach is “roots & wings” - practical meets philosophical. The “roots” are biopsychology, coping skills and counseling techniques that are evidence-based (meaning they are statistically proven to be effective). The “wings” part is getting existential, questioning the meaning of existence, defining your truths & finding freedom. No topic is too dark or too weird for me, full stop.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I tenderly hold these darkest places & your deepest wounds while still (gently & with permission first ofc) calling you on your shit. Because sometimes a ship needs a harbor, sometimes the open ocean. I bring the curiosity of a mermaid, an abundance of patriarchy - toppling equity, an iota of impishness & a ton of experience navigating stormy seas (like a wise sea turtle). Evidently there will also be a lot of ocean metaphors?
