About My Clients

I specialize in working with college & graduate students, young professionals, and adults. As your therapist, my goal is to work with you to build confidence, strengthen your relationships, and help you create the life you have always dreamed of. Together we will explore your inner self and I will empower you to live a life that is authentically you.

My Background and Approach

Through my years of training and lived experiences I know that therapy works best when there is a genuine and trusting connection between therapist and client. I lead with warmth, empathy, humor, and non-judgment. I am a relational psychodynamic therapist which means that I will work to empower you by helping you understand how your past experiences and relationships influence your present. Some weeks we will dig deep, others we may just need to process the “little fires” that occur in daily life. I promise that I won’t sit silently and nod. I will be an active participant in your journey. I will be real with you and never judge you. I will be your cheerleader, reality check, and confidant. Your therapy experience will be tailored directly to you. I am here to support and challenge you. I am here to laugh with you and cry with you. I am here to help you untangle the sadness, anger, loneliness you’ve bottled up. Together, we will change your life and empower you to live genuinely.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone deserves therapy with a therapist who truly sees them. The key to long-term change lies in the therapeutic connection. You deserve to feel safe with your therapist. I value curiosity and openness in my approach. I will ask you about experiences in your life whether we share socio-cultural identities or differ. I will talk to you about your intersecting identities and will make space for exploration of ones that you aren’t sure of yet. I’m passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community and aim to be a source of support as individuals navigate their understanding of self. I believe in the importance of not just equality among all, but also in equity. I’m aware of my power and privilege as a White, cis-gender woman, in the power position of “psychologist,” and I am here to process the impact of my identities in the therapeutic space.I believe in an egalitarian relationship between therapist and client as I value the humanity that we share above all else.
