About My Clients
My clients are children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, identity-related stress, or emotional challenges. Many seek a safe, supportive space to process their experiences and build resilience. I work collaboratively to honor each client’s unique background and strengths, using culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches tailored to their individual needs and goals.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed professional counselor and clinical psychologist-in-training with a deep commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. My background includes nearly a decade of clinical experience across school, community, and private practice settings, working with diverse populations. I specialize in supporting individuals impacted by trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, and systemic stressors, particularly those from BIPOC communities. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based models such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, while centering each client’s lived experience, cultural identity, and strengths. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. My assessment work is equally grounded in compassion and rigor, helping clients and families better understand cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to inform meaningful support and care. I value authenticity, connection, and justice in all aspects of my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in safe, authentic relationships where people feel seen, valued, and respected. I view mental health care as a collaborative and empowering process—one that honors the whole person, including their culture, history, and lived experience. I believe that trauma, while deeply painful, does not define a person’s worth or limit their capacity to heal. I am committed to creating a space where clients can explore their identities, navigate life’s challenges, and reclaim their sense of agency. I also believe that mental health cannot be separated from the social and systemic contexts in which we live. As a result, I approach my work with a strong sense of social justice, advocating for equity, inclusion, and access to quality care. My practice is grounded in humility, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique path toward healing and growth.
