About My Clients
In the past ten years I have worked with young adolescents, teenagers and young adults struggling with depression and anxiety, adult survivors of sexual abuse, and adults suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship/marital concerns, and other mental health difficulties in a private practice setting. Additionally, I have developed a skill set to work with substance use and addiction concerns.
My Background and Approach
I am a Washingtonian, born and raised -- I completed my undergraduate education at The Evergreen State College and my graduate degree at Argosy University, Seattle. Over the course of my career, I have met and worked with so many amazing people -- I have the utmost respect for my clients and the hard work they put in towards insight and change. I have primarily worked in private practice, with a brief foray into inpatient psychiatric services. I have been fully, independently licensed as a Mental Health Counselor since 2012. My therapeutic approach is to match the education and experience that I have gained to the experiences and individualized needs of my clients -- I may be the therapist in the space, but the client is the expert on their world. Over the course of my time as a therapist, I have been shown over and over that people have an incredible capacity for change.
