Throughout my years in counseling, I have worked with families struggling to find a balance with parenting decisions. Often, parents over- or under-compensate for their partner and experience conflict about discipline or parenting styles. I assist parents in achieving healthier and more empathetic communication, and a balanced, unified approach to parenting. When this is achieved, children and families can heal and continue to grow together.

The ability to set & maintain healthy boundaries is important to an individual's self-esteem. It is also crucial when seeking a healthy relationship, whether that relationship is with a spouse/partner, child, or friend. Often, mental health issues such as alcohol abuse, addiction, depression or bipolar disorder can lead to a caretaker or family member struggling to maintain healthy boundaries. In counseling, I can assist individuals & families in being supportive while not enabling.

For over 12 years, I have worked with teens struggling with self-esteem, behavioral issues, school stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and family conflict. I enjoy building relationships with adolescents and assisting them in their path to finding themselves and finding happiness. Working together, we can build coping skills, learn to identify and express feelings, and build confidence. I also work with the families of teens.
