About My Clients
I enjoy assisting adults seeking life fulfillment, happier relationships, effective communication skills and better boundaries. I have worked extensively with teens and their families dealing with school or peer related issues, low self-esteem, anxiety or depression, self-injury, and family conflict. I also have a passion for working with young adults struggling with the transition into adulthood, succeeding in college, finding a path, mood disorders, and esteem issues.
My Background and Approach
I have been in the counseling field for over 12 years and enjoy assisting clients of a variety of backgrounds. I use a client-centered approach, catering to each individual, with frequent use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based, and interpersonal approaches. I work with each family or individual to find the right approach for reaching the goals that are outlined. I graduated from Texas A & M University with a BA in Psychology and the University of Houston Clear Lake with an MA in Clinical Psychology. I am also an experienced LPC Supervisor assisting interns in finding their potential as professional counselors.
