About My Clients
My focus is on working with children/families dealing with relational and developmental issues, as well as with trauma, anxiety, and behavioral difficulties. My experience and your knowledge about your child will allow us to successfully navigate difficult transitions, developmental challenges, as well as marked behavioral and/or emotional difficulties that your child might be presenting.
My Background and Approach
I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Montclair State University. I have worked with families with infants and pre-school-aged children helping them strengthen their relationship and using it as the main tool to address behavioral/emotional difficulties, normal developmental crisis, as well as trauma and difficult life transitions. I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) which is an evidenced-based treatment, directed towards parents and their children between 2 and 7 years old presenting social, behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. I am a Triple-P certified provider, which is a positive parenting program that works with main caretakers in developing positive strategies to address behavioral and emotional difficulties. In addition, I have training in infant-parent mental health, providing a safe space for my clients and their families to collaborate in developing a healthy self since the start of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love working with children and families from every background; and believe that therapy in the early years of life allows families to build positive life-long relationships and children to be able to develop to their highest potential.
