About My Clients
I work with those who have a desire to better understand and engage with their mind and body. I have years of experience working alongside teens, adolescents and adults, overcoming Eating Disorders, Sexual Trauma, and Pregnancy/Postpartum concerns, as well as Anxiety, Depression and Mood management. I aim to help others build a deeper sense of self-trust and identity in a comparison filled and perfectionism driven world.
My Background and Approach
Melinda’s background and education in counseling and nutrition enable her to bring a well-rounded and holistic approach to the counseling relationship that balances the many aspects of the human experience and promotes wholeness. Melinda has worked within various mental health settings and levels of care from outpatient individual therapy, group therapy, college campuses, eating disorder IOP, PHP, and transitional living environments. She continues to partner and work with local eating disorder treatment centers in the community. She is respectful and appreciative of all cultures, ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds of those she serves. I have training in IFS, DBT, EMDR, and several other behavior and trauma interventions.
